Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the game Weaponry Chess ("the game") collects, why, and what you can do about it. The game is made and run by Omar Laamarti, an individual developer based in Morocco ("I", "me"). Contact: weaponrychess@gmail.com.
What the game collects
- Your account. When you first play, the game creates a guest account identified by a random number made on your device. If you are logged in to the platform you play on (for example CrazyGames), the game receives your user id and username on that platform from it, so that your progress follows you to other devices. The game never sees your password or email address.
- Your progress. The pieces you own, your challenges, armory keys, the name and avatar you pick in the game, and your results.
- Your online matches. The moves played, the result and how long turns took. This is how the server checks every move and keeps the game fair.
- Connection data. Your IP address and basic technical data are used to connect you to the game server. They can appear in server logs, which are overwritten after a short time.
- On your device. Your settings (sound, volume, camera and so on) and offline progress are saved in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device.
The game has no free chat, sells nothing and asks for no payment details. It does not run its own advertising or tracking. If you play on CrazyGames, CrazyGames shows its ads and runs its own analytics under its own privacy policy.
Why it is used
- To run the game: your account, your progress and online matches (needed to provide the game you asked to play).
- To keep it fair and secure: checking moves, stopping cheating and abuse, fixing problems (my legitimate interest in a working, fair game).
- To improve it: for example, measuring how long turns take to set the turn timer.
Your information is never sold and never used for advertising by me.
Where it is kept and who helps
- The game server and its database run in Germany, at Hetzner Online GmbH.
- The website and domain name are handled by Cloudflare, Inc., which may process connection data in other countries under its own safeguards.
- The platform you play on (for example CrazyGames) gives the game your user id and username, under its own policy.
How long it is kept
Your account and progress are kept while your account exists. Guest accounts unused for 12 months may be deleted. When you ask for deletion, your data is removed from the live database and disappears from backups within 14 days.
Children
The game is for a general audience and can be played by children. It asks for no real names, email addresses, photos or contact details, and has no chat. A parent or guardian can ask for a child's data to be deleted at the address below.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data the game holds about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how it is used. Write to weaponrychess@gmail.com with your username on the platform you play on; I answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date. Important changes are also shown in the game.
